About Cambridge Barfeeds

Cambridge Barfeeds created the SB1 barfeed, by drawing on over two decades of industry experience and observation in production engineering. We identified the need for a barfeed focused on shorter production runs after talking to the numerous firms in the UK and internationally, which are keen to produce high quality precision products but needed a more cost effective system for bar feeding.

Reflecting on his extensive experience in working across pretty much all types of CNC machine tools, Managing Director, Frank Moss designed and built a bar feeder which fully maximises the CNC lathe's capacity but crucially does not compromise on quality.

Frank Moss has worked for more than 25 years as a Fanuc control specialist and more details of his work for Moss CNC can be found here.
